Privacy policy
This notice explains how Frankow Ltd handles information when you read Unstaffed Works, contact us or choose to subscribe. You can read the publication without joining the newsletter or allowing optional analytics.
Who is responsible
Unstaffed Works is operated by Frankow Ltd, which is responsible for personal data handled for this publication. Rafael Frankow is the contact for privacy questions: enquiries@unstaffedworks.com.
Enquiries and contributions
Contact links open your email application. The contribution form prepares an email using the details you enter; it does not submit those details to a website database. You review and send the message yourself. Its copy option places the draft on your clipboard when requested.
If you send an email, Frankow Ltd receives your address and message, including contact details, company information or attachments you choose to include. We use Zoho Mail to receive and respond to enquiries and review contributions. Our basis is our legitimate interest in responding and maintaining accurate editorial records; where you request consultancy, processing may also be necessary to take steps towards a contract. Please do not send sensitive personal information or confidential partner material.
Optional analytics
Cloudflare Web Analytics loads only after you choose “Allow analytics”. It measures visits and page performance; Cloudflare receives technical requests from your browser. We do not send newsletter addresses or contribution-form contents to analytics. Google Analytics is not installed.
Your allow or decline choice is stored in this browser for up to 183 days. Use “Analytics choices” in the footer to change it. Withdrawing permission reloads the page to stop the loaded analytics code; it does not erase information already sent. If browser storage is unavailable, the choice lasts for the current page only. See Cloudflare’s data collection description.
How long information is kept
Newsletter details are kept while you remain subscribed. After unsubscribe, a limited suppression and consent record may be retained to respect your choice and handle complaints; it is not permission to continue marketing. Enquiry correspondence is kept while needed to answer the enquiry and manage any resulting work. Editorial evidence may be retained while the associated coverage remains relevant, including to explain corrections or handle disputes.
Retention depends on the purpose, any ongoing relationship, and applicable legal or accounting obligations. Records no longer needed should be deleted or anonymised; contact us to request a review of yours. Provider backups and security records can follow separate retention arrangements. The website’s analytics-choice record expires after up to 183 days in your browser.
Service providers and international processing
Our providers are Hostinger for hosting, Zoho for email, EmailOctopus for newsletter records, Cloudflare for optional analytics and Google for the signup form’s bot protection. They receive the information needed for their respective services. Linked supplier and operator websites handle their own requests when you load external media or follow a link.
Some providers and their support or subprocessors operate internationally, so processing is not necessarily limited to the UK. EmailOctopus states that its application data and email-sending servers are based in the EU. Other processing locations and transfer safeguards depend on the service and its current terms. Contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your data. Provider details: EmailOctopus, Zoho, Hostinger and Cloudflare.
Your questions and rights
You can contact Rafael to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your information, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Rights depend on the processing and applicable law. You can withdraw newsletter or analytics consent at any time without changing the lawfulness of earlier processing. Not providing an email address means we cannot send the newsletter or reply by email; it does not stop you reading the website.
Your statutory rights include lodging a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or another competent data-protection authority. This notice will be updated when our services or practices materially change.
