A keybox turns an unstaffed golf course into a bookable cart location
Vendigolf connects booking, payment and automated key release so regional golf clubs can hire carts even when no employee is available for handover.

Cart keys when the clubhouse is closed
Australian regional-club model. The supplier case reports more than 60 Keybox 3 units at publication, not 60 verified current courses.
The keybox replaces a staffed cart-key exchange when the clubhouse is closed or no employee is available.
The physical handover being removed
Customers scan at the location, book and pay online, receive a PIN and collect the cart key from an assigned keybox. The operator retains visibility of duration and usage without placing a member of staff beside the carts.
The connected stack
Vendigolf’s booking and payment journey integrates through InTennis with igloohome credential generation. The case study reports more than 60 Keybox 3 units deployed at the time it was written.
What the headline number does not answer
The supplier reports large utilisation increases at some clubs. A publishable report should date that result, define the comparison period and ask how charging, damage, key return and abandoned carts are managed.
Making it work on site
Physical cart keys can remain unchanged. Vehicle charging, parking, cleaning and safe routes are separate infrastructure requirements from a battery-powered keybox.
Show the assigned cart and keybox together. Provide return and charging instructions; a recorded keybox opening does not prove the cart is back and ready.
Costs, upkeep and the takeaway
Evaluate additional usable rental hours against cart depreciation, batteries, charging, cleaning and damage. Do not apply a supplier’s best-performing club result to every course.
Automated key release expands access; fleet readiness determines whether the next hire can happen.
