Timed access for a distributed network of futsal pitches
Ark Futsal links each confirmed booking to a PIN that works only for the reserved time, reducing key handling across multiple Singapore locations.

Letting the booked team onto the pitch
Singapore pitch operation. The current number of pitches and participating locations is not verified here.
Booking-linked PINs remove repeated gate-key coordination for teams using different pitches and timeslots.
The access problem
A distributed pitch operator has to match a person, place and time without maintaining multiple physical key handovers. The published workflow sends a time-valid PIN after a successful booking.
Why this is more than a smart padlock
The commercial value comes from connecting the reservation to the correct gate and access window. The remaining work includes pitch condition, lighting, overstays, unauthorised guests, refunds and support when a team cannot enter.
A useful comparison model
The same journey can be compared with tennis courts, dog fields, studios, gyms and community halls. Each shares timed entry but has different safety, neighbour and turnover requirements.
Making it work on site
The published example shows smart-padlock access. Lighting power and scheduling remain separate; a battery-powered gate lock does not power the floodlights.
One booker may hold the code while a whole team arrives. Define early access, group entry, end-of-session locking and safe exit instead of assuming the reservation holder controls every attendee.
Costs, upkeep and the takeaway
Measure opening/closing visits avoided and additional court hours sold, then include lighting, surface upkeep, overruns and support.
Timed access needs a workable group arrival and departure policy.
